Seconds count in a cardiac or respiratory emergency! This course covers basic CPR/AED skills for adults, children and infants. You will learn how to recognize an emergency, activate EMS, provide CPR, use an AED and help someone who is choking. Participants will learn via a mix of videos, discussion and hands-on skills practice. The goal of this course is that students will leave feeling more confident in their ability to respond to a medical emergency and provide emergency care until EMS personnel arrive and take over. Course will be taught by experienced EMTs. Course fee includes 2 year certification from the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) as well as access to a digital student textbook.
**Please note that this course does NOT meet requirements for allied healthcare providers and students seeking entrance into allied healthcare programs. Professional rescuers and Healthcare Providers (RN, EMT, MD, etc.) should take our BLS for Healthcare Providers course.
